The Empire of Giad and The Republic of San Magnolia have been at war for over nine years. Initially losing to the Empire’s ‘Legions’, their mechanized killing machines, the Republic evacuated their citizens inside 85 districts and responded with their own machines named Juggernauts, which are supposedly unmanned.
While the Republic boasts of these unmanned Juggernauts, reporting zero casualties, the reality is far from the truth. The Juggernauts are manned by the 86th district: the Colorata minority who are mistreated and considered subhuman.
86, follows Vladilena Milize, a republican soldier who is disgusted by the way the minority are treated. After being assigned as a handler of a squadron headed entirely by members of the 86th district. She meets the members, eventually growing fond of them and especially their captain Shinei Nouzen, a boy driven by his own goals. Will Vladilena ever be able to achieve equal rights for the minority, or will her newfound group of companions from the 86 lead her to her own fall?
