There was footage from the movie, which allegedly showed Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, resulting in the rumors about Andrew Garfield and possibly Tobey Maguire playing the role of Spider-Man in the latest film; however, Garfield denied any involvement in the latest Spider-Man film in his interviews. There are some reports of Andrew Garfield featuring in the movie as a cameo. But Marvel hasn’t confirmed the presence of Garfield in the movie. The footage video which allegedly showed Garfield as Spider-Man was debunked by Corridor Crew in their video on YouTube on October 3. Sam and Niko from Corridor Crew debunk the rumor of Garfield’s role as Spider-Man as they review the leaked footage from the movie. They confirm that it was ‘deepfake’ and it was most unlikely that Garfield returned as Spider-Man.
The truth about the leaked footage was obviously a letdown to the fans who wanted Andrew Garfield back to the Spider-Man Universe. Many people were too surprised to even believe Corridor Crew’s analysis of the video, which gave some hope of Andrew Garfield coming back as Spider-Man.
