Crusader Kings III comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series

Paradox Interactive has celebrated with a new trailer that the medieval strategy game Crusader Kings III is now on sale for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series for 49.99 euros. The title is also part of the Game Pass catalog. Crusader Kings III debuts on next-gen consoles after selling more than 2 million units on PC, a platform where the game is also offered through Microsoft’s subscription service.

In Crusader Kings III, players must choose a royal or noble house from various kingdoms on a map that stretches from Iceland to India and from the Arctic Circle to Central Africa. The goal is to establish and protect a dynasty through the centuries, ensuring the safety and power of each new generation while controlling the characters and their heirs, whose lands, titles, and glory must be preserved. How to do it depends on each one. War, espionage, diplomacy and religion are available and active fronts.

“Be a pious king to bring the religious powers to your side, or strike out on your own, designing your own religion and earning fame or eternal damnation. Knights, peasant revolts, pilgrimages, Viking raiders…experience the drama and spectacle of the Middle Ages,” says Paradox Interactive of Crusader Kings III.

On consoles, Crusader Kings III features an interface and control scheme tailored specifically for larger screens and controllers. The new control map allows players to quickly and easily navigate through the game’s menus, via triggers, bumpers and analog stick movements. On PS5, the title makes use of DualSense controller features including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, while on Xbox Series it is possible to toggle between the game and other apps.

The most enthusiastic players can get Crusader Kings III: Royal Edition, which for 74.99 euros includes access to the expansion step. On PC, two additional contents have already been delivered: Northern Lords and Royal Court.
