It has been revealed that the Sudbury concert scheduled for tomorrow to be held by Rock’n’Roll legend Hazel O’Connor will no longer take place, with all tickets being refunded.

The organizers have also added an update on their website saying that the artist had suffered a “serious medical incident” which prompted them to cancel her show.

The singer-songwriter says she is hoping to return at the end of July after being struck down with a virus that has left her unable to breathe properly. The 66-year-old tells WENN, “I’m gutted to have to postpone the gigs. I’ve never had to do this before and hope that everybody will understand that it is out of my hands. I am currently in hospital with pneumonia, but am getting better by the day.”

“I just need some rest for a couple of weeks, then I’m going to reschedule all the European shows and do the best to make it up to everybody who bought tickets.”

The 66-year-old was scheduled to perform at the Quay Theatre on March 7 and 8 but the performances have been postponed.
