The NBA revealed that four players — Giannis Antetokounmpo, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James — have each exceeded the two million vote threshold. In the East, Durant leads with more than 2.3 million votes, followed by Curry with more than 2.5 million.

The duo of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have both been All-Star Game captains in the past, although they’ve never gone head-to-head as such. If these results hold, it will be the first time since the NBA switched to its current format that LeBron James is not leading one of the conferences as a captain.

In the end, there will be 12 players from each conference who will be named All-Stars. The distinction is not solely given by fan vote; current players and members of the media both have a say in who gets chosen. Fan voting makes up 50 percent of the decision, while players and journalists split the other half.
