Kali Uchis real name is Karly- Marina Loaiza. She is an American singer and songwriter. Born in Alexandria, Virginia. 

She gained popularity in the music industry with her 2012 mixtape, Drunken Babble.  She also released her debuted studio album, Isolation in 2018. Her first Spanish language project Sin Miedo was released in 2020. Her ‘Telepatia’ song becomes uchis’s first solo charting hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. She is also known for her collaboration with artist Kaytranada in his song titled “10%” Which earned Kali Uchis her first Grammy Award.

Karly-Marina Loaiza was born on July 17th in 1994 in Alexandria, Virginia. 

Uchis’s father moved from Columbia to the United States where he met Uchis’s mother in the 1990s. She had a baby from previous marriage Uchis is their only child together after some time Uchis father moved back to Columbia because his mother fell ill So he wanted to take care of her and Uchis also move to Columbia with his father and aunt during the summer. 

Growing up in an immigrant and working-class family her home life often filled with struggle. In high school, she learned to play piano and saxophone.  She never wanted to become a singer she was more interested in directing the film but she used to write poetry and songs and that lead her to the singing profession.  She was given the nickname “Kali Uchis” By her father.  And she is openly bisexual.
