‘Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu’ or ‘Jobless Reincarnation’ follows the life of an unnamed 34-year old Japanese citizen who is effectively recognized as a failure by society. Bullied, scorned, and oppressed his whole life he is evicted from his flat after the death of his parents. While introspecting his failure of a life, he notices a speeding truck heading towards a group of teenagers. With the resolve to do at least one meaningful act in his life, he manages to pull one of them away but dying in the process. But as fate would have it, he finds himself in a completely new world.

Now reborn as a baby named Rudeus Greyrat to two loving parents, he is reincarnated into a world of magic. Being able to preserve his memories and knowledge from his previous adult life, Rudeus quickly manages to exceed all expectations, honing his magic skills with a mage named Roxy Migurdia and his sword fighting from his father named Paul. With all the tools provided to him, he is on the path to a very different life from his previous one. Will he be able to move on from his traumatic past and grow stronger? Will he ever find love?

Rudeus is captured and imprisoned by the beast people. Alone and naked in a prison for 3 days, he is joined by a new inmate named Geese. Caught for cheating in a gambling match, Geese tell Rudeus about the ‘Sacred Beast’ who is an important figure to the beast people. Legend says the Sacred Beast is to join a hero on a mission that will prevent a world catastrophe.

The beast people are ambushed by smugglers, the forest is on fire, everything seems perfect to escape. However seeing them in need, Rudeus with the help of Geese and the Sacred Beast helps the beast people overpower the enemies.

The episode ends with Rudeus being thanked by the beast people and is now able to meet Eris and Ruijerd.
