Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 6 review

Star Wars the Bad Batch Season 1 Episode 6, DECOMMISSIONED has finally released on disney+, and with it we were left on a massive cliffhanger, hinting at the possible return of someone massive. The episode has quite a few little connections to the star wars films, books, comics, and games which could give us some hints to the future.

The action begins with Echo Giving Omega some lessons on how to use her brand new energy bow, which she stole from the Zygerian slaver last episode. She’s not having the best time shooting, These two were actually here at Cid the last episode, and they are actually the two prisoners who heeled Raffa overpower the Pykes, back in the Clone Wars season 7 Martez Sistersarc. Following this, Cid practically forces the Bad Batch to take a mission on Corellia, in order to secure a tactical droid.

Corellia is of course the homeworld of HanSolo. On top of that, you’ll probably remember tactical droids from the Clone Wars and Star Wars rebels. Tactical droids were far superior in both intelligence and communication than standard B-1 battle droids and were often deployed to battlefields throughout the Clone Wars to lead separatist forces, where organic leaders were not available. In order to sneak into Corellia without clearance, the Batch uses their tried and true tactic of attaching to a class four container ship. This ship was seen in Star Wars rebels and was heavily used by the Empire. As the group manages to sneak into one of the factories on the surface of the planet, thousands of B-1 and B-2 battle droids can be seen getting melted down to the scorching molten metal.

This follows the order Palpatine gave to Darth Vader to shut down all of the droid armies from Mustafar, as well as his backstabbing of the separatist council, leading to the destruction of all droids. Although we’ve heard about the fate of the separatist battle droids many times through the books, reference books, and comics, this is one of the first major looks we get at it on the big screen.
