Released in 2010, Tower of God, written and illustrated by SIU (Lee Jong Hwi) is a Korean dark-fantasy webtoon. Twenty Fifth-Bam, our protagonist, has lived his whole life inside a cave underneath a giant tower. There is no one in his life apart from a girl named Rachel who teaches him about the world outside. When Rachel leaves Bam to climb up the tower, Bam is left broken having lost the only one he’s ever known. Determined to find and be reunited with her, Baam is resolute in climbing up the tower which is said to grant wishes to those who are able to reach the top.

We also see a variety of different species as well the existence of magical energy filling the tower called Shinsu.
