The mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klichkó, announced a 36-hour curfew in the Ukrainian capital starting Tuesday night due to the “difficult and dangerous” situation in the city.
“Today is a difficult and dangerous day,” the official said in a statement, explaining that traffic in the city will be prohibited from 8:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT) on Tuesday until 7:00 a.m. (05:00 GMT) on Thursday.
