A new trailer clip has been released, revealing the date when audiences can anticipate the first official trailer for Disney+’s hotly-anticipated Moon Knight series.
The premiere date for the full trailer has been revealed: Monday, January 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. The clip gives us extremely quick looks of Star Oscar Isaac as the complex and troubled superhero Moon Knight, as well as Ethan Hawke’s enigmatic character. On Jan. 17, the full trailer will debut during the NFL Super Wild.

It was previously reported that the trailer would debut at the Super Bowl LVI in February, and that the series itself was set to premiere on March 30, 2018, but neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have verified this.
Until now, no official reports had emerged regarding Moon Knight since the first reveal fans got in November, which showed Marc Spector and his moon-worshiping vigilante activity.
The narrative and characters of the Moon Knight series are unknown, including Hawke’s role and the function he will play in Moon Knight.
While the actor has kept his identity hidden, as per Marvel and Disney’s policy, Hawke previously stated that he had informed his son about the show’s secrets, owing to his familiarity with the comic book world. “He grew up in a world where everything went downhill,” Hawke added.
“He’s really handy. He’s a go-to guy for everything, right? So whenever I had a question about the backstory of this god or character, he’d say, ‘Dad! No, no, no.’ So he was my one-stop-shop.”
So, in the comics, Spector suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), and Marvel Studios appears to have promised that Moon Knight will not overlook his mental health problems in its synopsis, calling the superhero series “a new globetrotting action-adventure series featuring a complex vigilante who has dissociative identity disorder.”
“The identity that dwells within him is thrust into a deadly war of the gods against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt when the multiple personalities that reside inside him are forced into a dire battle.”
“I’m going to have some fun with this,” Isaac promised. “This is one of the most difficult projects of my career,” he added, referring to Moon Knight. “I discovered so much space to do things I’ve never done before and had been interested in and wished to try.”
“I couldn’t wait to get on set, and it was the biggest workload I’ve ever had in my career, and most challenging; by the sheer amount of stuff we had to do in eight months, and yet I couldn’t wait to get there and work.”
Moon Knight is a Marvel character who was originally introduced in the comic book company’s publication of MARVEL NOW! The first season will include six episodes and will premiere exclusively on Disney+.
