On Sunday, June 26, at the Infinity Esports Arena, which is located inside the Infinity Gaming Center in the Oxígeno shopping center, the final of the Dota2 national qualifier was held, where the last direct qualifiers from Costa Rica for the Championship were defined. World Cup of the International Esports Federation (IeSF, for its acronym in English) to be held in Bali, Indonesia.
As part of the IeSF, Costa Rica has four slots for this edition: two with a direct pass (Dota2 and Tekken 7) and two indirect ones that are decided in a regional elimination round (EFootball -before PES- and CS:GO).
During the grand finale of the qualifier, the weekend of June 25 and 26, the direct passes of Dani “Mclovin” Garro, as the representative of Tekken 7, and Pretty Old Guys, the Dota2 national champion team, were defined.
The other quotas will have to be fought in a tie, which will include the entire continent, in the EFootball and CS:GO (Counter Strike Global Offensive) sections.
For EFootball, the Costa Rican representative who will seek to win the ticket to Bali will be the renowned Allan “Godoy-99CR” Godoy, while for CS:GO the Costa Rican team that will fight for the pass is NTD Gaming. This group is made up of Paolo Josse “INDUNI” Induni Ocampo; Benjamin “BJM” Mora Viquez; Yaziel “Krozz” Rosales Loria; Bryan Joshua “BacktoBack” Rodriguez Rocha; Enrique “lighter” Gómez Duarte; Eric Josué “DolphinGuy24″ Barrantes Chaves, and Fabián “FoxyCV” Céspedes.

Two categories have already secured the Ticos’ pass to the World Cup in Bali: in Takken 7 it was determined that Dani “Mclovin” Garro will be our representative.
On the other hand, in the Dota2 category, the Pretty Old Guys team qualified directly for the world electronic sports tournament. This club is made up of Wilmer “ZaxiroK” Vargas; Joshua “battou” Murillo; Keneth “Shiri” Martinez; Humberto “Ryu” Vargas, and Andrés “sx” Barth.
They defeated Xtreme Dinosaurs in a thrilling final with a score of 3-1 to be crowned national champions.
Communities are given the opportunity

For this qualifying process, the Costa Rican Esports Federation focused its efforts on giving the spotlight to communities not so recognized in the country. This because although they compete in titles of high international impact, locally they were still considered more of a niche. However, players from CS:GO, Takken7, EFootball and Dota2 had all struggled to get an opportunity like this.
“It was very nice to be able to bring all these communities and see how they mobilized to organize the teams and the great reaction of the entire community to support the qualifier. It was very pleasing to be able to give them this space”, declared Felipe Montoya, president of the FCES.
