Oh, Ha Rin will rediscover the past through cryptic images left by her first love, Ji Seo Jun, who died ten years ago on her birthday. Since elementary school, he had resolved to confess to his childhood buddy, but he ended up killing himself, much to her surprise and horror. In the photography room, he was going to reveal to her when he died suddenly.
She now works at an abandoned pet sanctuary, but she discovers some images left behind by her first love on the tenth anniversary of the catastrophe. Ha Rin, whose traumatic memories have been rekindled, decides to destroy all of the photographs. She immediately realized she was back when she took the image ten years ago while burning the photos. Ha Rin only has eight chances to go back in time because the camera only has eight pictures.

The Blue Birthday Episode 2 picks up right where the first one left off. The burning snapshot appears to transport Oh Ha Rin back in time by ten years. Surprisingly, she returns to the same day that was written on the burned photograph. She is initially perplexed by the situation and dismisses it as a dream. She takes advantage of this dream because it is the first she has experienced since Ji Seo Jun’s death.
Ha Rin always hugs him and spends most of her time with him. When her other friends ask whether she wants to go out with them, she immediately says no. Her denial stems from the fact that she can meet them frequently but not Seo Jun. She skips school to accompany Seo Jun to the picture store. The proprietor recognizes her and makes cryptic comments. He warns her not to meddle with the past too much since it may bring her bad luck. Ha Rin is still unaware that this is not a dream at this point. Before the two go on his cycle, Ha Rin takes a picture of Seo Jun with her phone. On the other hand, Ha Rin snaps back to reality as she comments what a wonderful day it is and closes her eyes.
