Arne is accused of murdering his landlord, Both in the real-life case and in the movie. The Warrens figure out the origins of the demon that possessed David and Arne with Arne on trial. Soon they figure it out that it was through a totem left by an occultist who was a devout member of the Disciples of the Ram. They learn that they must destroy the altar belonging in order to break the curse that now plagues Arne, to the Occultist who made the curse must be destroyed. It’s safe to say zombie corpses and occult witches are maybe just the filmmakers being as Hollywood as possible. Some interesting broad points are there to keep in mind:

• The movie states Arne Johnson only served five and married Debbie during his sentence. But in reality, he was convicted on November 24, 1981, and sentenced to 10-20 years.
•  Johnson claiming to have no memory of the incident, The “murder” scene is dramatized due to it. Director Michael Chaves told USA times that “Obviously, something was going on with Arne.
• Carl Glatzel Jr one family member of the Glatzel family was the only one who doesn;t appear in the film. It was written by Gerald Brittle, whose primary sources were Ed and Lorraine Warren.
• Many plots were real and some scenes were giving heart attack, it’s not easy to watch the movie alone and it was stated by the family that they were so scared to recite the whole story, as they still get those screaming voices and re-remember the scenes.
