One of the best-selling manga of all time, Jujutsu Kaisen, written by Gege Akutami, follows the story of track and field star Yuji Itadori. His lack of interest in the sport, however, has him joining the occult club. Yuji’s life soon takes a turn as the members of the club are in possession of a cursed object. As they wrap open the object, cursed spirits start roaming around the school. In order to help his clubmates Yuji, along with Megumi Fushiguro, a Jujutsu sorcerer he meets along the way, must now defeat and eliminate the spirits. Things, however, go wrong as they are beaten down and close to defeat. Knowing that the evil beings are looking for the cursed object, Yuji quickly swallows the cursed item to prevent them from attaining it. Because of this Yuji now has the spirit of Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses inside him. With the crushed object inside of him and having the most powerful cursed being inside his body coming out from time to time, the manga captures the tale of Yuji Itadori’s new life and adventure full of Jujutsu sorcerers, cursed spirits, and objects.

In the midst of this Megumi warns Yuji that the reincarnated sorcerers present are from an ancient period where war was frequently making them dangerous as they will not hesitate to kill, believing that they might have a contract with Kenjaku to kill others. Megumi also emphasizes tracking Higuruma and making it their first priority. 

The pair enter the barrier but are separated and are soon attacked by a pair who were already scouting for any opponents dropping in. While Yuji is occupied with an opponent, the person facing Megumi, soon revealed as Remi, seems to know Higuruma and is ready to give information, but on a single condition.
