A tale of betrayal, Gemma abhors her mother and seeks revenge after she leaves her father and her ill-brother to chase after her first love. On her road to revenge, Gemma finds herself caught in a love triangle between two brothers Ki Seok, who after being left by his wife has now fallen for Gemma and Ki Seok’s brother Hyun Seok, who, unlike his brother, is a free-spirited man who has fallen for Gemma’s charms.
A KBS Korean Drama Television Series, written by Hwan Soon Young and directed by Park Gi-Hyeon, Red Shoes premiered on 5th July 2021 and is expected to have over 100 episodes.

An episode with shocking revelations, Hyun Seok breaks off his engagement with Hye Bin. She soon finds out she is related Gemma and questions her mother and father’s involvement in the death of Gemma’s father. Gemma’s mother confronts Gemma, telling her to stay away from Hye Bin and Hyun Seok’s engagement. In an emotional scene Gemma forcibly drags her mother in different parts of the house and showing her, now deceased, younger brother’s achievements which he was driven to do because of his wish to be reunited with his mother and how before his passing, his dying wish was to see her mother one more time.
We then see Hye Bin confront her father asking him if he’s a murderer. Gemma’s mother walks in on the two dragging Hye Bin away. It is revealed to us how Gemma’s mother and the man she is now with, plotted the murder of Gemma’s father.
The episode ends with Hye Bin confronting Lady Choi telling her how Gemma is coming in between the engagement of her and Hyun Seok. Hyun Seok walking in on the conversation states that he is in love with Gemma which causes Hye Bin to faint. Outside we see Ki Seok overhearing everything who runs upstairs.
