The anime series has been popular ever since it was released in 2017 and the fans have been waiting for the second season for 5 years. We have seen in the final episode of the first season that Alexander the half-elf meets Sage Altorius and tries some croquettes at Nekoya. The Episode ends with him visiting his family grave with Princess Adelheid. The after-credits show that A Nekoya door is opened in the midst of the lush grassland, predicting the coming of the second season.

In April 2021, through the monthly Shonen Age magazine, It is confirmed that the second season is going to be released in Fall 2021. The release date is set for October 2, 2021. The anime will be provided by OLM Studios with Masato Jinbo returning as the director of the anime series. This fall will be a golden season for the fans.
