We’ve already seen Oscar Isaac suited up as the villainous Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocolypse, but now it looks like Marvel is taking a page out of their latest superhero film.
A brief teaser trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series Moon Knight features footage of an unmasked, hooded man rushing through a crumbling building and taking out a goon (or three). True to the hero’s comic origins, he uses both fists and weapons like “sharp blades.” Well, that’s one way to ruin someone’s day.

Fans of Marvel’s Netflix shows already know that Moon Knight is coming. But this teaser trailer may be the first official word we’ve gotten on his solo series, which was rumored as early as January. Previous reports claimed that the series would not only star Marc Spector (a.k.a. Moon Knight), but feature his long-time nemesis, Bushman.
After two Iron Man movies (three for Robert Downey Jr.), a Captain America movie (or three), and several standalone heroes introduced in the Avengers trilogy, it looks like Marvel may be looking to characters that will likely never end up in an Avengers movie for their next Netflix series. Pairing Moon Knight with Bushman seems like a smart move, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.
The teaser trailer lists no release date, so we don’t know when we’ll actually get to watch this show (or even if it’s officially the show’s name), but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll see it before 2018.
At first, fans believed the show would potentially arrive as early as 2022. That seems unlikely at this point, though those plans could change, as could the release date. But, if we had to guess, we’d say keep an eye out for Moon Knight around 2022 — or even 2023 — leaving it almost two years until we see the hero on screen.
