Vinland Saga is an anime series based on Japanese manga series. This series is written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura. It’s a historical action anime series. The series follows a story of a young mercenary, Thorfinn the one who joins the company of the notorious Viking as well as military commander Askeladd after the latter kills his father. While growing up, he continues to challenge Askeladd in duels but loses every time. During an unconventional paternal bond is formed between them.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Release Date:

The first season of Vinland Saga was premiered on 8th July 2019 while the release date for the second season has not been revealed yet. Though it is expected that ‘Vinland Saga’ season 2 to come out in late 2021 or early 2022.

The first story which the second season might cover is the Slave Arc.  Canute was well known about how Thorfinn’s desire for revenge was the primary driving force in his life. Might be he will not kill Thorfinn but instead turn him into a slave. Later Thorfinn might be sent to a kind as a well compassionate farmer named Ketil for working at the latter’s farm.

In the finale of season 1 of Vinland Saga, Askeladd tries for convincing to the King Sweyn not to invade Wales, his homeland. While in response, the King asks Askeladd for choosing between Canute and Wales. A furious Askeladd decapitates the King. After realizing that Askeladd has done this for protecting him, Canute decides for making the best of the opportunity he has been given and kills Askeladd as a show of his claim to the throne. Thorfinn rushes towards the throne room and breaks down, forever bereft of his vengeance. As soon as he attacks Canute, Thorkell and others apprehend him. The episode ends with the anime debuts of some characters from the manga.
