Savannah Guthrie, host of NBC’s Today, has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus and is scheduled to appear on Radio News Network today to discuss her condition.
The positive diagnosis comes just one week after Ms. Guthrie announced that she was pregnant with her second child and was forced to take a break from her hosting duties.
According to a source close to NBC, the network is concerned that Ms. Guthrie has been infected with Covid-19 for months and could have passed it on to others at Today. In an interview slated to air Tuesday morning on NPR News, Ms. Guthrie said she was “shocked” when doctors diagnosed her with the virus.
