April Blair created the American sports drama television series All American, which premiered on The CW on October 10, 2018. Daniel Ezra plays the lead role in the series, based on the life of professional American football player Spencer Paysinger. The CW renewed the series for a third season in January 2020, which will be broadcast on January 18, 2021. The sitcom was renewed for a fourth season in February 2021, with a launch date of October 25, 2021.

All American Season 4 Release Date:

Seasons 1 and 2 premiered in early October 2018 and early October 2019, respectively. Because the pandemic pushed the Season 3 launch date back to late January 2021, the show is expected to return in January 2022. The CW renewed the show for Season 4 just three episodes into Season 3—much earlier than previous seasons—suggesting that the network is trying to prevent any further production delays in order to get the show back on track with only a year between seasons.

Season three of All American is still on the air as of this writing. But, barring any shocking finale twists that introduce the concept of a multiverse, we can safely predict that Season 4 will continue to follow Spencer James as he approaches graduation while looking ahead to the future: which (potential spoiler alert) saw the real Spencer Paysinger go on to play college football at Oregon.
Nkechi Okoro Carroll, the showrunner, is also expected to continue to address other current events, such as the Black Lives Matter movement, which was featured in a special episode in season three.

“You hope that what you’re doing is making a difference,” Okoro Carroll said. “My intention for this episode was that perhaps it will lead to people recognizing the agony and that we’ve reached a point where enough is enough” (via EW).

“But I’m not sure. Sometimes it appears as if nothing is making a difference. I try not to be discouraged by it, and I try to portray the truth of it in the show because we pride ourselves on these characters accurately portraying what it’s like to be a teenager in America today, especially a Black teenager. And we hope that it has an impact.” Let’s hope that if the subject is revisited in Season 4, it doesn’t come at the same unsettling time.

“I never in a million years imagined this show would air days after another young Black boy was slain by cops,” Okoro Carroll remarked (via EW).

“I had no idea it would air so soon after the Derek Chauvin trial. I didn’t expect it to air so soon after Adam Toledo’s murder. It’ll seem as if I wrote it last week, which tears my heart since it indicates we haven’t achieved the progress I had hoped for.”

Ahead of All American‘s Season 3 finale, we thought the episode’s biggest question would be who won the football state championship. But another, more serious question loomed much larger at the end of the hour: Is Coop going to die?

Unbeknownst to Coop, Mo has been orchestrating her downfall all season, culminating in an attempt to get Coop busted for drug possession during Monday’s finale. But Coop could tell that her new merchandise manager, Andre, was up to something, and she found the drugs he was trying to sneak onto her Vegas tour bus before the vehicle even left town.

That night, after the tour bus had been stopped and searched by the DEA, Coop paid Mo a visit, revealing that she’d had her eye on Andre all along and foiled Mo’s plan to put Coop in jail. Mo then raised a gun at Coop, and Coop tried to persuade her that avenging Tyrone would only cause Mo more heartache; Coop, of course, knew that better than anyone.

All American Season 4 Cast:

The next season’s cast has yet to be revealed, although the series regulars are expected to return. Coach Montes (Alexandra Barreto) and Vanessa (Alondra Delgado), who joined the cast in Season 3, may return, along with additional new characters. Despite this, the Season 4 cast has yet to be revealed.

We do know, though, that a spinoff of the series is in the works. The first episode of All American: Homecoming will focus on Geffri Maya’s character, Simone Hicks, as she prepares to enter college. If the spinoff is successful, we may see Maya’s character disappear from the main All American series in Season 4.
