“New Family Relations Certificate- God Father” now referred to as “God Father” is an entertainment program by KBS, aired on KBS 2TV, that began in early October. The show is said to closely observe the family dynamics as celebrities are paired up as father and son. Growing up in different households and being raised up on different ideologies we will see how the celebrities fare with each other.

The first episode stars former basketball player and current coach of the national team Heo Jae. He starts off by stating his regrets over not taking time to visit his father and after his death, there were many things he wanted to say but couldn’t. Shot in Hanok Village, the house, where it all takes place, had been designed to replicate Heo Jae’s original house where he spoke about how much it resembled his old place. Heo Jae finds out that his ‘God Father’ will be prolific Korean Actor Lee Soon Jae. As they have dinner,  they talk about their busy lives and careers. 

Our next pair are Trot Singer Jang Min Ho and Korean Actor Kim Kap Soo. They sit and talk with each other over tea and as Min Ho is cooking, the pair bond over a variety of things. Kim Kap Soo who does not have a child states how he wished to be best friends with his son. As the show comes to a close they exchange numbers saving contacts under the name ‘Father’ and ‘Son’.

Episode 2 will star comedian Moon Se Yoon and actor Joo Hyun. While everything starts off with the pair bonding nicely even stating that they might have known each other in a previous life, things start taking a turn as Joo Hyun starts treating Moon Se Yoon differently.
