The last decade has been a blast for MCU’s fandom. The Infinity Saga brought about a wave of emotions for the fans and after the events of Avengers: Endgame, fans were left clueless of the production group’s future projects. Soon after, Disney released its master plan of the Disney+ Hotstar series. Thus entering a completely new phase of so many new superheroes. One such superhero or should I say superheroine is none other than Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. In the marvel universe, Khan is a teenage Muslim – American girl living in New Jersey. She discovered that she has superpowers and thus takes on the name Miss Marvel which is taken as an inspiration from her idol Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. Just like spiderman, she faces a situation where she has to continue to live a dual life as a teenager as well as a superhero who she always aspired to be.

Now, let’s talk about what you guys actually came here for. As we know that marvel comic universe and Marvel cinematic Universe take various turns and thus the origin story might be different in the MCU. But her powers will never change. Let’s just put aside her origin story and focus on the powers that she might have in the upcoming show “Miss Marvel”

1. Elongation

Her primary powers include Elongation, this helps her to elongate or extend her limbs like Mr. Fantastic. She can stretch her neck, torso, limbs, and probably any other body part with complete control over it after some experience.

2. Shape Shifting

Kamala possesses the ability to transform into anyone. She can even change her clothes and hair as well. She can alter physical appearance so much as to closely mimic inanimate objects. At a point, she thought that she had lost this power due to the decremented elasticity of her cells during the healing process but she hadn’t and still uses it at times.

3. Super-human Regeneration/Healing

Kamala has the capability of healing at a super-human rate and thus allowing her to fight with a free mind, but one downside of this power is that she must maintain her original form while regeneration or healing process. The longer this healing process continues, the fatigue grows, and her hunger increases too. Thus healing from deeper wounds leave her extremely fatigued and hungry as well.

4. Size Alteration

Kamala’s most popular power is the alteration of her height and stature. Just like the ant-man, she can grow from as small as a toy to, as humongous as a building. The first time she realized that she had any powers was through increasing the size of her hand this proves that she can increase her full size as well as the size of her body parts.

Most of the comic fans already know about her above-mentioned powers, but what they fail to realize is that all the above powers of hers are due to the morphogenetic features of her cells.

5. Morphogenetics

The mutable properties of her cells are the main reason that she is able to alter her size, shapeshift and elongate or shrink her body parts

6. Bioluminescence

Her body also emits a yellowish energy signature thus giving her Captain Marvel-like look

Miss Marvel Release Date

There hasn’t been any announcement of Miss Marvel’s release date but it is expected to be released between late 2021 and early 2022.
